Eye Candy

My type of!
Her new words are "where-bet" (rabbit) , "war" (roar) and "dead-dare!" (did it!)
This baby stuffs her face real quick (using proper baby cutlery or otherwise, whichever is faster) when she's hungry, then fills up real quick, pulls off her bib and declares, "dead-dare!" before trying to climb off her high-chair. My Belle.

Such a cutie! Sounds like she's go a hearty appetite too. Good for you! She looks a bit like C in this pic.

Yeah it drives me insane. I still have an ice cube tray full of blended spinach-codfish that makes him cry when he eats it. Took me 2 hours to make.

Also made him custard once using the recipe in a baby book which he barely tolerated.

The only thing that he'll eat is fresh fish porridge.

Do you microwave the frozen food before he eats it? Where do you get your recipes from?

I'm very impressed at your spread of foods. For me it was usually an off-the-shelf Organic savoury item for mains, and for dessert - the pureed apple or pear which I'd make. You must spend like an entire day in the kitchen! Normally I only have enough trays for up to 3 days max.

I tried cooking porridge - she hated it. She'd only take granny's.

C was on this for 1.5yrs or more before she started getting sick of it. : )

oh ya. feed them anything you eat is the best bet to healthy appetites I swear. gareth had home cooked porridge and crock-potted stuff from grandparents for the longest time (till he was 18 mths I think) and he ate sooo slooooowly. Kyra eats fast (not all the time. sometimes she doesn't eat at all.) when I give her our food. her fave so far is macaroni and cheese - I use normal sliced cheddar melted over boiled (in salt) macaroni - as soft or as chewy as they like it. gulps that down. gareth likes macaroni with minced beef/pork soup-style and broccoli florets (yay)- he says he feels like wong fei hong eating real chinese food :) anything noodle-ish also does it for him now. for breakfast, they love quacker oats (the plain type) for some odd reason (I hate it) - just add fresh milk and microwave for 1 min, stir then microwave for another - add half a teaspoon of sugar if you want them to gobble up pronto. too much sugar and they won't eat at all.
