Done Alaska!

Rainforest Sanctuary trail walk early Tuesday morning (2nd day into the cruise) at Ketchikan, Alaska. My Man spotted his first live brown bear wandering around amongst the thick foliage. Never seen so many huge salmons hopping around in a creek in my life. Wish I could live there just so I can dine on salmons all day long....no fishing skills required, just pick them hopping fishes up with bare ('cuse the pun) hands.

Rainbow over Ketchikan, Alaska....no sweeter way to end the day. Another treat that day included non-stop dining on board till sunset - in true Singaporean/cruise style! You should see the retirees eat. Believe you me they put us to shame!

Sumdum glacier, near Juneau, Alaska. Bet you can't tell. But it's the blue-est thing we've ever seen. True blue block of ice!
The general Alaskan landscape. Absolutely enchanting. Apparently certain mosses only grow when there's completely fresh, clean, pure air...like in Alaska. See how green am turning already. By the way, even a huge cruise ship like the Norwegian Sun sways like a cradle in Alaskan waters so.....get your motion sickness pills ready when your turn comes! Alternatively, dun stuff your face like I did :)

Sunset walk on deck. Most romantic stroll ever....This cruise was possible courtesy of gwandpa and gwandma. Pa even bought me the Colombian emerald pendant I drooled over the entire trip! Altogether an unforgettable heart-warming journey with the extended family. Wanna plump up the kids? Cruise them to Alaska! Giant sized sugar-sweet shrimps and creamy oysters are abundant in Wrangell - fresh off the waters onto the grill....and ice-cream and desserts are free-flowing on board! :)

My world

This is my Mommy. She loves flowers. She also loves my babies. She is my quiet comforting ray of bright light. Ever optimistic and patient. I love my Mommy.

This is my Pa. He'd love anything I love - just to humour me. My Pa is my pillar of strength. From him I learnt to be steadfast and loyal. I love my Pa.

These are my babies. They are my world. I never knew one could love so many and so much till I was blessed with them. No one could make me happier these days. My Man and my sleepy-faced Belle.

This is my sweetheart. I must remember never to strive to change him coz I married him precisely because he is as he is. He's my complementing half. He's my best friend. Need I say I love him? Heck, he can really rile me up. That says it all I guess.

Wonderful beauties

Ever seen the moon and stars set against the hues of sunset? Personally, I've never seen anything as beautiful.....this was taken aboard Alaska Airlines on my return from San Fran to Vancouver (8th Sept). Makes you wonder why we still sweat the small things, huh? My birthday treat to Frisco was good. Spa-ing whilst the husband goes to work always makes me feel super-decadent....majorly tai-tai-like to say the least.

Ever been onboard a rowboat with 2 of the world's handsomest men? I have. Makes my heart flutter everytime I see this pic. Boating at Deer Lake, Burnaby, last Sunday. Sunny Fall weather's the best!

Wire gone hay

This is Whistler in Winter. [Nov 2004]

Whistler in late Summer/early Fall just doesn't look like that. Must go again come Winter.

Am being treated to Frisco on my birthday. Will be away 3 days, 2 nites from my babies.......man, I have the most irrational of fears. One of which is "What if my parents kill my children out of sheer frustration whilst I'm gone..?"

Et tu a model/comedien?

My Belle took her first 2 steps last week but hasn't repeated them since. What's for sure though is she can give a damn charming flying kiss and aspires to be a model when she grows up (not! shut that nonsense already mommy! chuh.)

And whoever said only Melman (in Madagascar) could look like that? My Man's sense of humour is really picking up to the point that everything's a joke. My hair's falling out from all that laughing. Over lunch at Whistler Mountain today his fortune cookie came up empty! Instead of letting it get him down, he picked up daddy's fortune slip and read it for himself, "You...will...join...the lion dance competition!!!" (If you've watched Once Upon A Time In China I, II or III , sigh...you'd understand why. Wong Fei Hong's his idol recall?) My ingenious baby.
