Wire gone hay
This is Whistler in Winter. [Nov 2004]
Whistler in late Summer/early Fall just doesn't look like that. Must go again come Winter.
Am being treated to Frisco on my birthday. Will be away 3 days, 2 nites from my babies.......man, I have the most irrational of fears. One of which is "What if my parents kill my children out of sheer frustration whilst I'm gone..?"

Oh how lovely! Frisco is so beautiful and vibrant. There's this wonderful poster / prints shop at the pier - not sure if it's still there though - which has just about everything you can imagine. Great place to get some prints for your home.
I went to Malaysia without The Son. Am still wondering whether I'm going to go crazy wondering how he is, whether he's drinking all his milk, whether he misses me, whether he even notices I'm gone, whether he's breathing regularly (mustn't forget that breathing!) ....
It really doesn't help that next to the Dad's hospital room there is a nursery full of freshly hatched babies all swaddled up, eyes shut, faces red and still swollen from being so new to the world and all moving in slow motion .... I was quite shocked though, at how rough the infants ward nurses are when they are feeding, changing or swaddling the babies. Poor little things that can't even defend themselves or even cry properly.
Well, if you read in the paper that I attacked and savaged a nurse somewhere in Sarawak, you'll know why.
Happy Birthday, Gwen! We were just in San Francisco yesterday, but just for a day. Hope you had a GREAT time. (Audrey)
