Laundry & Sustenance

I'm so clever. My child-care program today included out-door fun in the endless autumn drizzle so that my children will experience the thrill of the chill...and grow up undeterred of the cold, the wet, and the dirty out there. These are our front and backyards. Their romp today ended with lots of laundry for me to do this weekend. I'm so clever. But I do so enjoy doing the laundry. I especially enjoy folding clothes or even ironing them. [shucks reverse psychology really does nothing for me] I will remind myself never to be ever over-ambitious again.

Wendy bought my Man this shirt. It reads "Will work for milk" on the front and "Milk Milk Milk please..." on the back. I asked him what his shirt said and he confidently replied, "Want boob boob!". Auntie Big Panties , you're sooo spot on.

Relocated!

But what we've really been preoccupied with was moving. This is my Belle gleeful that we've managed to settle in (oh sort of) enough to find amusement nearby. To celebrate the success of relocating within 20 minutes of our previous home, the kids got new hairdos during their inauguration bath in the new tub.

Little pleasures
Like sense of humour runs in the family. My Man calls it the "african hair har har har" [a factual remark straight from a babe's lips.] My Belle just wants to boogie to the tune in head-gear! How difficult is it to get them to bath when they refuse to remove their "african hair har har har"?!
Does this smile make you feel all mushy & warm now? He misses his Daddy so much when he travels now that he chants to himself [in the streets during walks], "Daddy's not home yet.....where is Daddy now..."
He also still misses gwandma and gwandpa. He inadvertently called me gwandma today and just the other day mumbled yet again to himself whilst looking out at the empty patio, "no gwandpa outside now...who will catch ladybugs for me?"
Reason Enough
To float when your son attempts to charm you in the freezing Fall.Gem of the week:- My Man telling his Dad not to chastise his sister because "you're scaring her Daddy. Don't do it, you're scaring her...."
Swelling of the heart can't be a bad medical condition when it feels this good!

Daylight cannot be saved...
Daylight saving practices only serve to ensure families wake in the eerie dark of mornings and eat dinners in the true blue eerie dark of nights...the "daylight" hours in between are barely bright enough to see in traffic. Even the TV screen's brighter than the outdoors......hence, the kids gravitate towards that light...see how fixated they are in their positions when the google-box is on? A real stay-at-home-mom's pal.Today's gem was, "Mommy, is it night time already?!", to which I answered, "No, it's only lunch time now." The quick conclusion was, "Oh, it's the night of day....". Ahhh, indeed, never thought of it that romantic way.

November arrives
My Man and my Belle practicing their duet. So you see how quickly kids pick up music? Ha ha. We trouped to St James' Community Church (at West 10th & Trutch) this morning for an hour long music class - quite unlike Marnie's class. My Man thoroughly enjoyed himself although he confirmed later on that he prefers Marnie's class. This is similar to the Kindermusic style - which may be a little too structured for some.
Shot taken on West 4th Ave. A "smile" command now automatically elicits some kung-fu pose.
Even the wet and gloomy (boy it sure drizzles 24/7 these days!) Fall weather cannot dampen my spirits once my Man smiles for me....and tells me he loves me....which is rather often these days I'm sooo pleased to say.

My happily throned Princess.
